GeoGrid Co., Ltd. (GEOGRID), a startup collaborating with Korea’s Ministry of Environment and K-water, participated in CES 2025 held in Las Vegas, USA, from January 7 to 10 (local time), and unveiled its smart water purification system, 블로스(BLOS-Building Oasis), for the first time.

Located in Eureka Park, widely known as the CES startup exhibition zone, GeoGrid’s booth drew strong visitor traffic throughout the event. In particular, 블로스(BLOS-Building Oasis) was recognized by SBA as a representative example of ESG management that considers both technology and the environment, attracting attention from on-site visitors and global industry stakeholders.

블로스(BLOS-Building Oasis), introduced at CES, is a system designed to restore or maintain clean conditions inside existing water piping without replacing the pipes, by applying ionization and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. Beyond removing impurities in water, the system enables AI-based real-time water quality monitoring and predictive analytics to detect issues in advance.

Its eco-friendly ion-based sterilization approach, which does not rely on chemical substances, was evaluated as an attractive solution for organizations seeking both environmental responsibility and economic efficiency. By reducing dependence on plastic bottled water and standalone water purifiers, it can also contribute to lower carbon emissions. A representative of a European hotel chain who visited the booth commented that “BLOS aligns perfectly with our ESG goals.”

Kihyun Kim, CEO of GeoGrid, said, “블로스(BLOS-Building Oasis) is not only about providing clean water, but also a sustainable technology designed with both the environment and people in mind,” adding, “We are pleased to share the value of BLOS with global partners through CES 2025.”

Hyungwook Jung, Team Lead and Co-founder, stated, “In the United States, managing piping systems in aging buildings is a major issue. Conventional solutions have typically relied on chemical substances such as PFAS or remained limited to short-term preventive measures. With stricter environmental regulations and growing health concerns, there is a clear need for alternative technologies.” He added, “By combining semi-permanent ionization technology with AI, BLOS-Building Oasis offers an eco-friendly solution that can keep piping clean without depending on PFAS. GeoGrid’s technology presents a new standard for the water quality management market.”

Sangmi Oh, Professional in the Overseas Business Division, noted, “블로스(BLOS-Building Oasis) is being recognized as an alternative technology that addresses environmental regulations and carbon reduction requirements beyond the limitations of conventional purification systems. At CES, we held business meetings with key facility operators such as hotels, hospitals, and schools, actively advancing early export discussions and receiving positive responses regarding partnership development.”

Through CES 2025, GeoGrid demonstrated the strengths of BLOS-Building Oasis on the global stage and presented a new paradigm for water quality management. The company aims to open a new chapter in the global water purification market with an innovative solution that integrates environment, technology, and economic value.

GeoGrid was recently selected for the TIPS (Tech Incubator Program for Startup) R&D program supported by Korea’s Ministry of SMEs and Startups, further validating its technological capabilities and growth potential. With this support, GeoGrid is accelerating R&D for the BLOS system and expanding into global markets.

CEO Kihyun Kim said, “Being selected for TIPS R&D is a meaningful milestone that demonstrates the technical excellence and global competitiveness of BLOS. Building on this momentum, we will expand into the U.S., Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, and grow into a global leader that delivers ESG value.” Source: AVING News
