GeoGrid Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Ki-hyun), a K-water–affiliated environmental water technology startup, announced that it will participate in Eureka Park, the startup hub of CES 2024 in Las Vegas, to present forward-looking products and innovative technologies designed to solve global water challenges.

GeoGrid is a pioneering company that addresses the chronic water pipeline issues in aging buildings without requiring costly pipe replacement.

In April, the company developed BLOS (Building Oasis System), an infrastructure solution that improves water quality and focuses on “water energy” — one of the three essential energies for humans (electricity, gas, and water) — which has been difficult to manage due to infrastructure limitations.

The BLOS system can be installed not only in old buildings but also in smart buildings, smart factories, schools, military bases, and submarines, providing real-time information on water quality and consumption to ensure stable and scientific water management.

At CES 2024, GeoGrid will highlight BWEMS (Building Water Energy Management System), a new global standard it proposes for managing water energy and solving issues such as pipe corrosion and water contamination in buildings. BWEMS is the world’s first comprehensive water energy management framework, to be unveiled at CES.

The company’s eco-friendly in-building water purification plant, BLOS, enables efficient water management and provides a real-time monitoring dashboard for both water quality and usage.

By maintaining pipelines that supply potable tap water without the need for individual purifiers, BLOS contributes to carbon reduction and the realization of eco-smart buildings.
With only one device installed in the building’s utility room, all units within the building can receive safe drinking water.

Moreover, when water purified through BLOS is connected to a boiler’s heat exchanger, its anti-rust and anti-scale functions help improve thermal efficiency, leading to significant energy savings.

CEO Kim Ki-hyun stated,

“BLOS can be applied to residential, public, and commercial facilities such as cafeterias, hospitals, and hotels.
This technology serves as a foundational water energy data infrastructure for ESG management, and we anticipate growing international interest.
At CES 2024, we will present BWEMS as a new standard for solving the U.S. water quality crisis.”
