GeoGrid, a water technology startup, won runner-up at “The Pitch,” an investment competition hosted by the Korea Startup Forum (COSPO). The award is meaningful in that GeoGrid’s building-dedicated purification and water quality control system, BLOS (Building Oasis), was recognized for both its technological strength and market potential.

“The Pitch” was organized by COSPO and the Global Startup Center (GSC) to expand investment connections for promising early-stage startups. Following a preliminary review process, eight companies advanced to the final stage. GeoGrid presented its differentiated technology and business model focused on data-driven water management, improvement of aging piping conditions, and restoration of a safe tap-water drinking environment, receiving high evaluations from the judging panel.

The judging panel included key leaders from Korea’s investment and innovation ecosystem, including Sangwoo Han, Chair of COSPO; Minsik Cho, Chair of the Korea Business Angels Association; Youngjae Kang, Chair of the Korea Innovation Center Association; and Hyangsook Shin, CEO of SS2 Investment.

GeoGrid highlighted its proven deployment results, its real-time water quality monitoring platform Water-BEMS, and validated cases across public facilities, educational institutions, and resorts. In particular, judges focused on BLOS as an urban water infrastructure solution that can improve a building’s entire tap-water supply to a drinkable level without replacing existing pipes.

With this runner-up finish, GeoGrid will participate in follow-on programs including expanded investor networking, one-on-one private mentoring, and additional investment linkage opportunities. The company expects this to become an important foundation for scaling domestic and overseas pilot projects and entering the smart city water quality management market.

A GeoGrid representative stated, “This recognition confirms our potential in both technology and marketability,” adding, “We will accelerate investment outreach and business expansion to establish ourselves as a practical technology company that solves real urban water challenges.”
