The Ministry of Environment (Minister Han Wha-jin) and the Korea Environmental Preservation Association (Acting Chairman Kim Hye-ae) will host the 43rd International Exhibition on Environmental Technology & Green Energy (ENVEX 2022) from June 8 to 10 at COEX, Seoul.
As Korea’s longest-running and largest environmental exhibition, ENVEX 2022 aims to support market expansion for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with promising green technologies.
Minister Han Wha-jin will attend the opening ceremony on the morning of June 8 and tour the booths of leading global companies such as Lotte Chemical, Korea Midland Power, Hyundai Oilbank, and SK ecoplant, along with major Korean green enterprises showcasing their advanced technologies and products.
Participating Green Enterprises:
Royal Precision Co., Kinaba Co., Ecocreation Co., Greentech Co., AwesomeRay Co., Daehyun ST Co., Hanso Co., Dongwoo Optron Co., and others.
A total of 267 domestic and international companies from 16 countries, including the United States, China, and various European nations, will take part, operating 598 exhibition booths.
The number of overseas buyers has risen significantly—from around 80 last year to more than 300—and over 30,000 visitors are expected to attend.
ENVEX 2022 will feature the latest environmental technologies across 12 exhibition halls, spanning water treatment, measurement and analysis, and carbon neutrality.
The Carbon Neutrality Hall will include 22 companies exhibiting new technologies such as carbon capture and biogas systems.
In addition, 15 startup and venture companies will showcase ICT-based solutions, including 3D water and sewage construction management systems and intelligent leak detection platforms.
A newly introduced University-Industry Collaboration Pavilion will feature 15 companies presenting innovative joint developments, such as hydrogen leak detection films and heavy metal recovery technologies from waste batteries.
Alongside the exhibition, a variety of events will take place, including an online exhibition, business support programs, 15 seminars and forums, and intellectual property consulting sessions.
The online exhibition (www.envex.or.kr/online) will remain open year-round, providing continuous access to company and product information, allowing buyers to maintain purchasing consultations even after the event concludes.
Additional events include:
Overseas export consultations and public procurement meetings
Patent and intellectual property consultations
Company technology presentations
A highlight of the opening day will be the 2022 Environmental Company Matching Day, held at COEX Conference Room 318.
There, 22 promising green companies supported by the Ministry of Environment—including GeoGrid Co., Ltd. (smart IoT-based water supply monitoring platform), Ceracom Co., Ltd. (ceramic catalysts and emission reduction systems), and AitTech Co., Ltd. (AI-based resource recycling robots)—will present their technologies and products to public and private sector buyers and conduct customized consultations.
Later that day, the Upcycling Product Presentation will be held in Conference Room 307, where participating companies—such as 119REO, AF Impact, Upcyclist, and LC Ventures—will introduce innovative upcycled products like bags made from decommissioned firefighter suits and accessories crafted from recycled materials, highlighting both product advantages and social value.
Minister Han Wha-jin stated,
“This exhibition is more than just an event—it is a glimpse into the future of green industries that will drive our nation’s next phase of growth. The Ministry will continue to support small and medium-sized environmental enterprises in expanding their domestic and global market opportunities.”
