GeoGrid Featured on Seoul Startup Hub’s ss.up.tv — Sharing Ideas for Entering the Japanese Market

GeoGrid recently appeared on ss.up.tv (Sub TV), the YouTube channel operated by Seoul Startup Hub, for the program “Going Global Since We Started Up” (창업한 김에 세계진출), where we sat down for an interview. The episode was hosted by Rei Sayabayashi, a Japanese interviewer, and what made the conversation especially memorable was the fun and unexpected ideas she shared—offering a Japanese perspective on how BLOS (Building Oasis) could approach the Japanese market. Rather than simply introducing our overseas expansion plans, the interview explored practical viewpoints based on real local use cases and expectations in Japan—such as what types of spaces might be the best starting point and what kind of partners could help BLOS spread naturally. The video will be released soon on the ss.up.tv (Sub TV) YouTube channel, and once it’s live, anyone will be able to watch the full episode.

GeoGrid Proposes a Smart Water Policy to the Ministry of Education and Local Governments

GeoGrid Proposes a Smart Water Policy to the Ministry of Education and Local Governments

On January 29, GeoGrid presented a policy model at the “CES 2026 Real Review: Policy Proposal Conference,” proposing a shift in public facility water management—from reactive, complaint-driven responses to real-time, data-based management—using its smart water system, BLOS (Building Oasis). The presentation was delivered by Hyungwook Jung, Team Lead at GeoGrid, who pointed out that “while water quality incidents are increasing, we often don’t realize there’s a problem until we can actually see it.” GeoGrid also highlighted that reliance on bottled water and individual water purifiers can result in hundreds to thousands of times more carbon emissions compared to tap water, while schools and public buildings continue to face recurring water quality issues caused by aging pipes, climate change, and contamination entering building plumbing systems. As a solution, GeoGrid proposed “building-level water care.” BLOS is an all-in-one system that integrates filtration, disinfection, and pipe care, focusing on reducing contamination and uncertainty that arise as water travels through a building’s internal piping. At the heart of the proposal is data-driven preventive management. By combining smart water quality sensors with AI analysis, BLOS enables real-time monitoring, early anomaly detection, and rapid response. When applied to schools and public institutions, this model can be expanded into a centralized monitoring system—delivering a clear message: manage water not by intuition, but by data; not through isolated actions, but through integrated control.

"Healthy Pipes, Healthy Students" Samyook High School’s New Smart Water System

[Installation Update] "Healthy Pipes, Healthy Students": Samyook High School’s New Smart Water System

🚰 Facing the Truth Behind the Water We Trusted

While many educational institutions focus only on replacing water purifier filters, Samyook High School has gone a step further to focus on the ‘waterway’ itself that flows throughout the school. Even if water is produced cleanly at a treatment plant, it can be exposed to risks of secondary pollution—such as rust, fine debris, and biofilm (water scale)—as it passes through aging school pipes.

The shocking discovery of dark contaminants inside old pipes during installations at other schools clearly demonstrated the hidden side of tap water that is difficult to see with the naked eye. To fundamentally resolve these concerns, Samyook High School has introduced ‘BLOS (Building Oasis),’ an intelligent water quality improvement solution that blocks pollution at the entry point and empowers the pipes to self-purify.

⚡ ‘Vital Water’ Revived by Electricity, Zero Chemicals

The most significant feature of the BLOS system installed at Samyook High School is its ‘Zero Chemical’ technology. Choosing an eco-friendly ion sterilization method over harsh chemicals is essential for students whose immunity is a priority.

This system ionizes water to prevent the formation of rust and scale inside pipes and inhibits the growth of biofilm, the breeding ground for bacteria, delivering water in its purest state to the final faucet. Furthermore, a dual safety layer has been established to eliminate any vulnerabilities: a By-pass system to divert water supply in case of emergencies, and a micro-filter emergency purification device that activates immediately upon detecting anomalies through secondary sensors.

🖥️ “Our School Water is Clear Today”: Trust Through Data

Samyook High School students can now check the real-time status of the water they drink via BLOS-Care digital screens installed in the hallways. Complex water quality data, such as turbidity, residual chlorine, and pH, are converted into a user-friendly UI that even students can easily understand and see transparently.

This ‘data transparency’ goes beyond merely showing numbers; it creates educational value. By directly verifying scientific figures, students build deep trust in tap water, which leads to practical environmental education by reducing the use of unnecessary plastic water bottles.

“Student health is not a matter of compromise.” Samyook High School’s decision was more than just a facility upgrade; it was a process of embedding the value of ‘safety’ into every space where children stay. GEOGRID will take full responsibility for ensuring that Samyook’s clean water never stops 365 days a year through monthly precision calibrations and regular water quality inspections.

[Installation Update] Gyeonggi Tourism High School Safeguards the Health of Future Tourism Leaders with BLOS, the Smart Water Quality Management System

Gyeonggi Tourism High School, located in Yeoju, has officially implemented BLOS (Building Oasis)—GEOGRID's intelligent water quality improvement solution—to ensure a healthy learning environment and hygienic school meal facilities.

🏫 Innovating the Future of Schools, Starting with Water

As a hub for the future leaders of Korea’s tourism industry, Gyeonggi Tourism High School has long been dedicated to the welfare and hygiene of its students. The decision to adopt BLOS was a proactive move by the school to eliminate concerns regarding pollutants from aging pipes and to elevate the quality of water used across all school facilities.

✨ Key Highlights of the BLOS System at Gyeonggi Tourism High School

  • One-Stop Water Purification: The BLOS system, installed at the school's main water supply line, fundamentally blocks fine impurities and rust from entering the building right at the source.

  • Chemical-Free Ion Sterilization: By utilizing ionization, the system sterilizes water and inhibits the growth of scale and biofilm (water slime) within the pipes. This chemical-free process ensures that water for both cooking and drinking is safe for students.

  • Data-Driven Transparency: Through dedicated kiosks installed in hallways and common areas, water quality metrics—such as turbidity and residual chlorine—are disclosed in real-time. Students can personally verify the safety of the water they drink, fostering a sense of pride and trust in their school environment.

📸 A 24-Hour Silent Guardian Working Behind the Scenes

The stainless steel BLOS unit installed on-site boasts high durability and centrally manages the water quality of the entire school building. Complementing this, the Smart Monitoring System collects water quality data 24/7, providing a safety net that allows for an immediate response should any irregularities occur.

In particular, the BLOS-Care digital screens, placed in high-traffic areas, go beyond simply showing numbers; they serve as an environmental education tool, encouraging students to reduce the use of plastic water bottles.

🚀 A Safer School, Partnered with GEOGRID

The case of Gyeonggi Tourism High School serves as an excellent model for educational institutions seeking to build a safer environment. GEOGRID is proud to be a reliable partner in water innovation, ensuring that students can drink and use tap water with full confidence and without prejudice.
