GeoGrid Supplies Smart Water Purification System BLOS (Building Oasis) to Kyunghee Girls’ Middle School
GeoGrid, an eco-friendly smart water purification plant company led by CEO Kihyun Kim, announced on the 11th that it has installed its smart water purification system, 블로스(BLOS-Building Oasis), at Kyunghee Girls’ Middle School in Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul. The installation was carried out as part of the “2024 Seoul Proof-of-Concept (PoC) Support Program” organized by the Seoul Business Agency (SBA).
Kyunghee Girls’ Middle School joined the program to improve hygiene conditions in its cafeteria. Following the installation, official water quality testing confirmed compliance with drinking water standards.
Unlike conventional water purifiers that treat water only at selected faucets, the BLOS system purifies water across the entire cafeteria piping network. Key features include blocking external contaminants, removing rust, slime, and scale inside pipes, dual disinfection based on UV and ionization, and real-time water quality monitoring using six types of water quality sensors. The system can also be installed in a single day without replacing existing pipes, making it practical for schools operating with existing facilities.
This project is being recognized as an example of water hygiene innovation in public educational facilities. It is noted for enhancing the safety of drinking and cooking water for students, while also improving operational efficiency and overall hygiene standards in the school environment. In particular, it is seen as aligned with national policy directions such as the “Green Smart School” initiative, which aims to transform aging schools into digitally enabled, eco-friendly learning spaces.
A representative from Kyunghee Girls’ Middle School said, “We needed a reliable water quality management system to improve cafeteria hygiene,” adding, “BLOS was considered well-suited for an educational setting thanks not only to its technical performance, but also to its short installation time and real-time management capabilities.”
CEO Kihyun Kim of GeoGrid stated, “It is meaningful to demonstrate BLOS in an educational environment with the support of the City of Seoul and SBA,” adding, “We plan to expand customized purification solutions to more schools going forward.”

[Installation Update] Suwon Jungang Christian Elementary School Adds “Transparent Peace of Mind” to Every Classroom
A special change has arrived at Suwon Jungang Christian Elementary School—where children should be free to play, learn, and grow in good health. On December 12, 2025, BLOS (Building Oasis), GeoGrid’s smart water quality management solution, was installed in the school’s facilities room—an intelligent guardian designed to protect student health around the clock.
🏫 A School Built on Trust—Now Proving Water Safety with Data
Jungang Christian Elementary School has consistently led efforts to create the best possible educational environment for its students. Adopting BLOS is not only about delivering better water; it is a decision to create an environment where children can feel safe—by monitoring and transparently showing, in real time, how clean the water they use truly is.
In particular, a standing monitor installed at the school translates complex mechanical-room data into a child-friendly UI that students can understand at a glance. By openly sharing the real-time status of the school’s tap water, the school has created an environment where children can trust and comfortably use the water every day.

🛠️ Seamless Installation Combined with an Emergency Purification System
The installation process was carried out systematically with safety as the top priority. After separating the existing piping, the system was reconnected using highly durable stainless-steel piping, and a complete by-pass system was built to allow water supply to be rerouted in the event of an abnormal situation.
Smart Water Quality Surveillance: Precision sensors measure five key indicators in real time—turbidity, oxidation-reduction potential (ORP), pH, electrical conductivity (EC), and residual chlorine (RC).
Dual Safety Mechanism: If the secondary sensor detects even a slight abnormality, the system is designed to activate immediately and perform emergency purification through a microfilter.
Thorough Performance Verification: During commissioning tests conducted immediately after installation, the system recorded a 0% data packet loss rate, confirming stable and flawless communication with the central server.
📊 Clear Improvements Confirmed by Data
The water quality results before and after installation were remarkable. In particular, turbidity and residual chlorine levels improved significantly compared to pre-installation measurements, while both total coliforms and general bacteria were not detected—confirming a clean and hygienic condition. Not only did all indicators meet drinking-water quality standards, but the outcome also provided the highest level of reassurance for the entire school community.

⚙️ Thoughtful Maintenance That Never Stops—365 Days a Year
At Jungang Christian Elementary School, BLOS is managed even more carefully after installation.
Daily: Anyone can view 24/7 real-time water quality data at any time.
Monthly: Sensor cleaning and precision zero-point calibration are performed to maintain data reliability.
Quarterly & Annually: In addition to filter replacement and inspection of pipe connections, an annual comprehensive water quality test is commissioned to keep system performance at its best.
A school should be the safest environment where children learn how to step out into the world. Jungang Christian Elementary School and GeoGrid will manage even the unseen plumbing with transparent, data-driven control—so that every glass of water children drink carries the value of peace of mind.

Onam Elementary School Adopts BLOS (Building Oasis), a Smart Water Quality Management Solution
[Installation Update] Onam Elementary School (Namyangju, Gyeonggi) Adopts BLOS, a Smart Water Quality Management Solution
💧 A Better School Day Starts with Water: The Story Behind Onam Elementary School’s BLOS Adoption
A welcome change has begun at Onam Elementary School in Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province. The water students use every day—drinking, washing hands, and preparing delicious school meals—is now becoming clearer and more transparent through GeoGrid’s smart water quality management solution, BLOS (Building Oasis).

🏫 School Is Like a Second Home—Where Children Spend Most of Their Day
One of the biggest concerns parents have when sending their children to school is hygiene. And water flowing through hidden pipes is especially difficult to manage. To address this challenge, Onam Elementary School chose BLOS. This was more than simply adding filters—it was an upgrade of the school’s entire water infrastructure into a smart, building-wide purification system.
📸 [On-Site Reality Check] It Looked Fine Outside—But Inside the Pipes…
The photo below was taken immediately after the existing piping was separated during the BLOS installation work at Onam Elementary School, to connect the system.
When we looked inside pipes that appeared normal from the outside, we found them filled with long-accumulated rust and dark debris. The water may have looked clean to the naked eye, but in reality it was passing through these aging pipes before reaching the students.

This on-site photo, ironically, clearly proves how urgent—and how well-judged—Onam Elementary School’s decision was. With BLOS in place, these harmful factors, which could have remained undiscovered and neglected, can now be blocked completely from the point of entry.
🧪 Real Peace of Mind Backed by Numbers and Data
The BLOS system installed at Onam Elementary School now safeguards plumbing hygiene 24/7.
First, smart monitoring. Sensors continuously check water quality and analyze water usage in real time. The school can now answer the question, “Is our water safe right now?” with data and confidence.
Second, a zero-chemical approach. It’s not acceptable to use harsh chemical additives in water children use every day. BLOS helps suppress rust and scale through an eco-friendly method, keeping the building’s internal system fundamentally cleaner over time.
Third, a transformation in the cafeteria. All water used in the kitchen is now supplied in purified condition—from washing rice and boiling soup to cleaning trays and dishes—turning the entire cafeteria into one large, hygiene-first zone.

A School That Communicates Through Data, Sharing the Value of Water Quality
After installation, many students and staff gathered in front of the standing monitor installed in the lobby of Onam Elementary School. Together, they reviewed the screen and walked through the real-time monitoring data—seeing firsthand how the school’s water is being managed.
Students were fascinated to watch the condition of the water they drink being verified in real time through data. Faculty and staff also expressed strong confidence in a system that makes an otherwise invisible infrastructure transparent and easy to understand. This became more than a facility upgrade—it became a meaningful learning moment where the entire school community could experience the value of healthy water.

Why Sewon High School Dug Up the Ground and Waterproofed—A Relentless Commitment to Safe Water
Why Sewon High School Dug Up the Ground and Waterproofed—A Relentless Commitment to Safe Water
[Installation Update] Why Sewon High School Dug Up the Ground—and Even Re-Did Waterproofing: An Uncompromising Commitment to Truly Safe Water
Sewon High School in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, has adopted BLOS (Building Oasis), an intelligent water quality improvement system, to provide students and staff with exceptionally clear and safe water. This project goes beyond a simple facility upgrade—it reflects the school’s proactive administration aimed at reshaping perceptions of tap water and setting a new standard for future-ready educational environments.
A Prevention-First Shift: Why Improve Water Quality Now?
Sewon High School recognized that periodic, scheduled water testing alone cannot fully prevent risks such as incoming debris, unexpected piping incidents, or contamination introduced along the supply route. Even if water leaves the treatment plant in good condition, various variables can occur on the way to the campus—such as the intrusion of insects (e.g., non-biting midges), rust-colored water, and foreign matter. To proactively control these risks, the school chose an active, prevention-based improvement system.
BLOS not only blocks external contaminants at the point of entry through its filtration stage, but also provides real-time water quality monitoring—enabling immediate response when abnormalities or equipment issues are detected.
Chemical-Free by Design: Eco-Friendly Plumbing Management for Students
At the core of Sewon High School’s BLOS system is a zero-chemical approach. The school’s priority was clear: students with developing immune systems should not be exposed to harsh chemical additives in the water they drink and use every day.
BLOS suppresses rust and scale buildup inside pipes and helps prevent biofilm formation through an eco-friendly ion-based disinfection technology powered by electricity. This fundamentally reduces the risk of secondary contamination within a building’s internal plumbing—without separate chemical treatment—and helps maintain high water quality all the way until the moment it reaches each faucet.

📸 A Meticulous Installation Process That Addressed Even Hidden Risks
This project was carried out under a systematic plan starting in late October 2025. GeoGrid’s specialized expertise was applied across the full scope—from underground excavation work to install the ionizer on the main water pipe near the front gate, to modifying the rooftop piping structure of the cafeteria building.
During construction, a persistent rooftop plant-room issue—standing water accumulation—was identified and resolved through additional floor finishing (re-leveling) work. Afterward, triple-layer epoxy waterproofing was applied, along with thermal insulation to prevent freeze damage, fundamentally improving the school’s infrastructure so the system can operate in optimal condition throughout all four seasons.

🖥️ A Data-Driven School Sharing the Value of Water Quality
After installation, the digital information kiosk installed in Sewon High School’s hallway (the BLOS-Care screen) transparently displays the status of purified water to students in real time.
Students can see scientific indicators—such as turbidity and residual chlorine—every day, building deeper trust in their school’s tap water. The display also serves as a hands-on environmental learning space by reducing unnecessary use of plastic bottled water, while giving students a sense of pride that their school has adopted advanced technology to protect their health.
